Lillie Keenan, a native of New York City, started riding at the age of six. Her showing career began at the age of seven under the instruction of Andre Dignelli, Patricia Griffith, Kirsten Coe and Laena Romond at Heritage Farm in Katonah, NY where she continues to train. Highlights of her pony career include champion in the Small, Medium, and Large Pony Hunters at the USEF Pony Finals in 2007, and champion in the Small, Medium and Large Green Pony Hunters and champion in Medium and Large Pony Hunters at the USEF Pony Finals in 2008. She was also Grand and Reserve Grand Champion in the Regular Pony Hunters in 2007 and Grand and Reserve Grand Champion in the Regular and Green Pony Hunters in 2008 at the USEF Pony Finals. These were record-breaking accomplishments. Additionally, Lillie has been awarded Pony Hunter Champion, Grand Champion and/or Best Child Rider on a Pony at Devon, Washington International, Pennsylvania National and Capital Challenge in multiple years. In 2009 Lillie moved up to the Equitation and Junior Hunter Divisions. She was placed first in the Small Junior Hunter 15/under Stake and Reserve Champion at the 2009 Junior Hunter Finals on her Oldenburg gelding, Genuine. Her year culminated with a Champion and Reserve Champion in the Large and Small Junior Hunters 15/under at the Syracuse Invitational and a seventh place in the WIHS Equitation Finals and sixth place in the ASPCA Maclay Finals. In the coming year Lillie looks forward to showing Genuine in the Small Junior Hunters, her recently imported Warmblood gelding, C Coast Z, in the Equitation, her Warmblood gelding, Valedictorian, in the Equitation and Large Junior Hunters and her recently purchased Swedish Warmblood, Veronieque, in the Junior Jumpers.
